Many Twitter users (however consciously) violate the Twitter rules on a regular basis. This is a distressingly common problem and could lead to dire consequences. The most frequent "sin" is engaging in "Twitter spam": the posting what is known as "duplicate content." In Part 2 of this 2 part article, you can learn about the best solution for the "duplicate content" problem.

If you read the prior post on this subject, you should now be convinced (hopefully) that it’s a really bad idea to follow a practice (or practices) that Twitter considers “tweet spam.” The most notable type of this, in regards to legitimate internet marketers, is what is known as “duplicate content.” This is where you send out identical or nearly identical tweets using one of the automatic tools in various Twitter apps.

BTW, if you’re not sure whether what you’re doing is considered spam by Twitter and/or you don’t understand the dire consequences, I strongly suggest you consult the prior article on this subject.

So, if you fall into the category of someone who is or has been violating the rules, you may now be asking yourself a very pertinent question. To wit: “If I can’t send duplicate content, what do I do? How do I automate my posts?”

Further, you may be thinking: “Aren’t the Twitter apps that give me the ability to automate posts in this way allowing me (or even encouraging me) to violate the rules?” Well, sad to say… the answer to this question is a resounding (though appalling): “YES! They are.” Again, not good.

So is there a solution?

The good news is, I can once again resoundingly say “YES!”

The solution to tweet spam is called Tweetspinner, and if you’re both serious about getting the word out on Twitter and at the same time want to stay well within the rules, then you really should check it out! In fact, after using quite a number of Twitter apps in the last few months, I believe it is the only one capable of solving this difficult problem.

Tweetspinner allows you to do all the things you want to do (and much more) in a way that Twitter will never have an issue with. In fact, with Tweetspinner you can set up automatic posts in such a way that that they will never, ever repeat. Ever.

To give you an example, using Tweetspinner, I have set up a series of posts (the very ones that brought you here, if you came over from Twitter) that will not begin to repeat for something on the order of 483,000 days! Yeah. That many. That’s over 1,300 years, bro. Can you guess that I’m not going to worry about it…

Again, check out Tweetspinner; you’ll never again have to even worry about Twitter’s rules against duplicate content, or being called a spammer, or even being blocked. Use it for the right kind of posts, and you’ll actually be seen as a valuable friend, resource and even hero to your followers!

– Karl

IMPORTANT NOTE: Sign up for the paid version of Tweetspinner under our link and I’ll provide you my Tweetspinner Blueprint, which will show you how to quickly setup your own custom campaigns in such a way that you’ll never have to worry about Twitter’s rules affecting your tweeting! Further, you’ll be able to do like I do: post totally unique tweets from here to Kingdom come. Finally, you’ll get whatever help you need from me to get you started!

Many Twitter users (however consciously) violate the Twitter rules on a regular basis. This is a distressingly common problem and could lead to dire consequences. The most frequent "sin" is engaging in "Twitter spam": the posting what is known as "duplicate content." In Part 1 of this 2 part article, you can learn whether you're breaking the rules and in danger of having your Twitter account suspended – even at risk for being banned altogether.

Did you know that repeating the same tweet over and over again is considered spam by Twitter? Did you know that doing so can get you BANNED and your account shut down either temporarily or even permanently? Yikes. Not good.

I know that many are doing just this very thing every day, but I think it would be wise to consider Twitter’s official position on this matter. Here’s an excerpt from the Twitter Rules (their TOS – Terms of Service – in effect), describing some of the things they consider spam:

If your updates consist mainly of links, and not personal updates;

If a large number of people are blocking you;

The number of spam complaints that have been filed against you;

If you post duplicate content over multiple accounts or multiple duplicate updates on one account

Note that “multiple duplicates” are considered spam, but the reason the other lines are important is because following this practice (and or just sending out a lot of blatant, “naked” links) will lead to people blocking you and/or filing spam complaints against you, which will in turn lead to a ban. You clearly don’t want any of that! No sir.

Interestingly enough, I’ve noticed that quite a few of the “big names” in Twitter are blatantly violating the duplicate content clause by sending the same tweets over and over again. Frankly, I don’t think they’re setting a very good example for everybody else, and it’s these poor practices that have lead to so much Twitter spam.

I don’t know how long this will last, but the word is that Twitter is going to be cracking down soon on “spam content” just as Google has done (and continues to do). Can you say “Twitter slap?” Yikes.

Think about all the time you put into your Twitter identity…

Think about all the connections you’ve made (or hope to make)…

Think about the time and energy it would take to do it all over again (if it’s even possible)…

Don’t you think you should do everything within your power to protect the enormous investment in time, energy and your future that is your Twitter account? You simply can’t afford to lose this important personal and/or business asset by doing something that will get you bounced.

So the simple solution to avoiding tweet spamming is to post only unique, relevant tweets on an as-needed basis.

But there’s a big problem with this “solution,” particularly if you’ve got a business to run. It isn’t always possible to post that way: it’s very time consuming, and many businesses have requirements that make doing so impractical. After all, there are perfectly legitimate reasons for needing to post messages of a similar nature on a regular basis.

For instance, a business might have a “last call” policy on certain items and need to notify their followers on a regular basis, perhaps at 3:00 A.M. Pacific Time. Are you going to be up at this hour to make the post, particularly if you live on the West coast? Not likely. But even if you did so, you’d still be breaking the Twitter rules by publishing “duplicate content.”

So does this mean that there is no solution? No, of course not.

In the next post, I’ll tell you how to post as often as you like – even on the exact same subject and even to the same link – without violating the Twitter rules.

NOTE: The complete Twitter Rules can be found here – http://help.twitter.com/forums/26257/entries/18311

This post discusses the purpose and value of ViralFollowers, a new FREE service from the geniuses behind ViralURL. It allows Twitter users to expand their Followers virally, a far easier method than "traditional" Twitter Follower expansion.

The good folks over at ViralURL have done it again!

For those that don’t know, ViralURL was and still is one of the best feature rich affiliate link cloaking services. But it goes beyond that. What most people don’t seem to know (I think it’s one of those best kept “open” secrets) is that ViralURL is also one of the premier “safelists” in operation today.

As a member, you can email offers to the rabid members of their ever-growing in-house list. We paid for a “top level” membership some years ago, which means we get to mail to 6000 random ViralURL members every 3 days. Cool, huh? I don’t recall how it all breaks down, but “mid level” members can mail to 3000 members every 3 days, and even free members have some mailing capability.

The “viral” part of ViralURL comes from the fact that the link cloaker has a viral aspect (just click a link in this posting see what I’m talking about) that allows you to grow your list and get paid while doing so.

I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with Frank Bauer, one of the two geniuses behind ViralURL, on more than one occasion. I can say this for Frank: he’s the kind of business person you want to work with and patronize. Unlike many other so-called “gurus” and “big dogs” of Internet Marketing, Frank actually is involved in the day-to-day affairs of his business. He cares, and it shows. On a personal note, when I had some suggestions for ViralURL he actually considered them and ultimately even implemented one. Cool, huh?

Anyway, this post is not about ViralURL per se. It’s about a new aspect of ViralURL that will help all you Twitter marketers out there. It’s called ViralFollowers. This is a FREE part of the overall ViralURL program – anybody can participate in it. But what’s so great about it? Simple…

ViralFollowers will EXPLODE YOUR TWITTER FOLLOWERS overnight!

Click the link to check out ViralFollowers right now!

How does it all work? Basically, instead of sending people to your Twitter page directly, you send them to a ViralFollowers intermediate page instead. At this page, the person clicking your link is given the option of signing up for ViralFollowers. When they do so (who wouldn’t?), they in turn are given their own, custom link just like yours. They’re now Following you, but better than that, as they attract Followers, those new folks end up Following you as well!

Can you say “Instant viral explosion of Twitter Followers?” Wow. Can you see how powerful this is?

If you’re serious about rapidly increasing your Follower count (and who isn’t?), then I can’t think of a better or more painless way of doing it than ViralFollowers. Speaking for John, I can tell you that the Beach Bums highly recommend getting set up with ViralFollowers ASAP. Remember, it’s FREE!

– Karl

P.S.: I should add that this method, like so many others, will not substantially increase your Twitter Followers at all if you don’t DO something with the link! If nobody clicks it, your Followers won’t grow, so get that new ViralFollowers URL out there!

Between my own research and a few suggestions I’ve gotten since the #HASHTAG REVOLUTION began, I’ve been considering “coining,” defining and posting some new “kinder, gentler” (i.e. shorter) #hashtags. I’d love to get people’s feedback on these. Are they worth my effort at Tagalus and Twubs? Will you use them? You tell me.

Every person in MLM/network marketing needs quality leads, but they're usually hard to come by – or expensive – or both. But what if there were a way to generate 20+ quality leads per day using Facebook, all without spamming? In fact, by becoming an authority so that people chase after you (instead of the other way around). Now you can, and the training is FREE. Read the article to learn how.

If you’re an MLMer/Network Marketer like most, one of the biggest problems you deal with is a lack of real leads. Getting them the old, traditional way just flat-out sucks – I think we can all agree on that.

Paying for leads is usually a problem too. They’re expensive and usually crap (we Beach Bums can attest to this!). Besides, who really wants to spend hours making yucky cold calls anyway?

Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.) is hot, and lots of people are using it (or trying) to find hot prospects this way. But unless you use social media the right way, you’re seen as just a huckster, if not a spammer.

The right way is to add value, help people who genuinely need the help, and to position yourself as an authority in your niche (by actually being one).

What if there was a way to do this and generate 20+ quality mlm/network marketing leads per day – FREE – using the power of Facebook? Wouldn’t that be cool? Well, there is now! With this new technique, people will chase after you, instead of the other way around. You’ll become the expert, with throngs who are eager to talk to you and hear what you have to say. Sound good?

There’s a video seminar that will show you how to do this, and it’s available to watch completely for FREE. If you’re interested, please click the link for more on using Facebook for quality MLM lead generation.

Many of the Twitter hashtags in use for internet marketing are too long and cumbersome. As a result, I've created and logged (at both Tagalus and Twubs) new, short versions of same, and created a list I hope others will reference and start using. For instance, internet marketing (which used to be "#internet #marketing" (yikes), can now be abbreviated with the hashtag #im. Please check the list, help me expand it and start using these cool new hashtags.

I just defined a few very useful hashtags over at Tagalus, the dictionary of Twitter tags (http://tagal.us/) and at a really cool similar site, Twubs (http://twubs.com/). I hope that serious Twitter users who happen to be internet marketers will start to use these, because they are going to be incredible time (and space, i.e. letter count) savers.

For instance…

• Instead of using #network marketing, we can now use #nm.

• Instead of #internet #marketing we can now use #im.

• For #leadgeneration (ugh), we can now use #lg.

• For #afffiliate #marketing, we can now all use the much simpler #affm!

• Also, for #socialmedia, let’s just use #sm! (not to be confused with s&m)

Please do me a favor and go to Tagalus and VOTE to give my definitions authority. This way, it sees these as definitive, and hopefully they will start to come into common usage.

One of the #Hashtags I Defined Over at Tagalus.

You can also JOIN Twubs for the groups above (and others).

Twubs is really useful because you can simply go to a group (say #im) and look at the entire twittersphere – see what people are saying to the moment on that hashtag. It’s very useful if you want to find like minded folks out there. BTW, you can do the same thing with Tagalus, but in my recent experience, their site is really slow and chunky. Also, for the aesthetes among us, well… it’s pretty boring looking. Snif.

http://tagal.us/tag/nm • http://twubs.com/nm

http://tagal.us/tag/im • http://twubs.com/im

http://tagal.us/tag/lg • http://twubs.com/lg

http://tagal.us/tag/sm • http://twubs.com/sm

http://tagal.us/tag/ppc • http://twubs.com/ppc

http://tagal.us/tag/affm • http://twubs.com/affm

OK, I didn’t define #ppc (pay per click), #mlm (multilevel marketing) and #sm (social media) at Tagalus, but I would also appreciate it if people would VOTE for those as well. Let’s lock these down and get them into use!

http://tagal.us/tag/mlm • http://twubs.com/mlm

http://tagal.us/tag/ppc • http://twubs.com/ppc

http://tagal.us/tag/sm • http://twubs.com/sm

Thanks for the support. Keep tweeting, and let’s use the new, shorter, faster hashtags!
